There has been a large increase in the theft of catalytic converters from vehicles throughout the Avon and Somerset police area recently.

Six were stolen across all areas of Bath yesterday, which includes public and business car parks, Avon Street and Corn Street.

Park and Ride sights have also been targeted. This follows three incidents in Keynsham last week and numerous thefts across the South Gloucestershire area.

We recommend that drivers take additional steps to secure their vehicles if possible, and for drivers to pay attention to any individuals or vehicles that are behaving suspiciously.
