Burglaries

Priority closed

  • This priority is now closed as a result of the actions below.
  • If you have any questions or issues concerning this priority, you can contact the beat team using the contact form on the beat page.

Due to covid restrictions a number of businesses will be more vulnerable to burglaries due to less attendance.

If you see anything suspicious especially late in the evening or early hours of the morning then please call ‘999’ if someone is still present or ‘101’ if a property has been broken into and left insecure.

Actions

  • Wednesday 3rd March, 2021

We have made contact with anyone who has reported that their shed or outbuilding has been broken into and arranged a visit to give reassurance and security advice.

It has been encouraging to see that we have had very few reports of shed breaks since the New Year.

  • Wednesday 27th January, 2021

Please look at the security of your sheds and outbuildings and add a padlock where necessary , look also at marking the items within.

A UV pen can be used to write your postcode & surname under battery cases & other hidden places. These can be purchased on-line or a few are available from your local Neighbourhood Team.

Please email through the website or call 101 to get in touch with them.
