The South Bristol Neighbourhood Policing Team has been liaising with the South Bristol Neighbourhood Tasking Team looking to tackle recent drug issues that have come to light around the Bedminster area.

An operation was put in place resulting in properties being searched and two known individuals being arrested for being in possession of ‘Class A’ drugs with intent to supply.

The success of this operation also resulted in additional important intelligence being documented which, it is hoped, will be acted on in the future.

Southville Neighbourhood Policing Team including the Street Intervention Service, have been working closely with Bristol City Council to engage with street drinkers and offer ongoing support where applicable.

During the COVID-19 pandemic many vulnerable people have been removed from the streets around Bedminster and housed in temporary accommodation.

This support has provided somewhere safe for people to stay with regular meals and access to medical aid.

It is hoped that this multi-agency approach will continue, supporting those most vulnerable within our community.
