Coronavirus (COVID-19): the policing response and what you need to know

Nails found on road in Greenway, Bishops Lydeard

Wellington Neighbourhood Policing Team have been made aware of a large quantity of nails being found scattered on the road once again in Greenway, Bishops Lydeard Parish Council. These can be seen in the picture below having been retrieved from the road by a local resident. 

 Nails have been found scattered on the road in this area numerous times now in recent days / weeks and a several local residents have suffered punctures as a result.

 Wellington Police Team are treating these incidents as criminal damage. We have already increased our patrols in this area and will continue to do so for as long as necessary.

 We would encourage all members of this community to be vigilant and to contact the police immediately via 999 if you witness anything unusual in this area.
