Coronavirus (COVID-19): the policing response and what you need to know

Non-dwelling burglaries

We have over the last couple of weeks had several shed-breaks ion some of our more rural and remote areas.

  • Offenders have cut padlocks/bolts to gain access.
  • Often nothing has been taken, but the general target would appear to be pressure washers/strimmers/chainsaws.
  • Ensure robust locks are fitted and   if you have a shed alarm that it works well in emitting a loud noise if shed doors are opened.
  • Tools can be marked with  your postcode, record serial numbers, make and model of the tools.

We have increased patrols during the night times  in more rural and remote areas.

If you have information about non-dwelling burglaries contact us by either calling us on 101 or by email by filling in our beat team contact form.
