Coronavirus (COVID-19): the policing response and what you need to know

Power tool thefts from vehicles

We have received a number of calls regarding thefts from motor vehicles in Templecombe and Bruton. It is mainly vans containing power tools that have been targeted, but we ask that all residents remain vigilant and do not leave anything on display in cars or vans that may tempt opportunist thieves. We also advise residents to remove tools and equipment from their vans each night. Please report any thefts by phoning 101, or 999 if in progress. You can also report thefts by visiting Wincanton Police Station Monday – Friday 10:00 – 18:00 (closed for lunch 13:30 – 14:15 hrs) or you can report crimes online on our website www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/report
