Agreed: 10 January 2019

Added by Sara Stephenson on 10 January 2019 at 15:48

We have recently received a number of calls regarding theft from motor vehicles in Castle Cary and Wincanton. It is mainly vans containing power tools that have been targeted but we ask that all residents remain vigilant and don’t leave anything on display in cars or vans that may tempt opportunist thieves. We also advise residents to remove tools and equipment from their van’s each night. Please report any thefts by phoning 101, or 999 if in progress. You can also report thefts by visiting Wincanton Police Station Monday – Friday 10:00 – 18:00 (closed for lunch 13:30 – 14:15 hrs) or you can report crimes online on our website www.avonandsomerset.police.uk click on contact us then click on report a crime or incident.
