Wincanton West rural crime (Theft)
Wincanton neighbourhood team have been focusing on our rural communities and the areas where crimes have increased. Our main focus is to safeguard and lower the risks in these areas with foot patrol and vehicle patrols during day and night.

Wincanton Neighbourhood Policing team have been making proactive patrols in rural areas. We have also engaged with locals in rural areas giving them the opportunity to raise anything for our concerns.
An increase of burglaries and theft of vehicles has come to our attention of which we are working closely with the rural crime team, drone unit and intel so that we can start hardening our areas. We are doing crime prevention assessments and also farm assessments working together to investigating the issues that are happening.

There has also been an increase in vehicle crime over the Wincanton rural west patch of which we are aware and investigating.
