Community Speedwatch

Speeding on the roads in and around Wincanton is an ongoing problem and often reported to us by members of the public. Community Speedwatch is a visible deterrent to speeders with the aim to make the roads safer for all users. However, to enable this initiative to continue working it relies on Volunteers; If you can spare just one hour a month, please contact;- wincantonss40@outlook.com

More information is available on:  https://www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/apply/community-speedwatch/

We are still appealing for Volunteers to assist in this initiative and endeavour to work together to make the community a safer place.

Reports of speeding on Bayford Hill and South Street are still prevalent. However, in order to tackle this problem we need to provide a visible deterrent and record the persistent offenders.

We do have a Wincanton Community Speedwatch in place but are desperate for more Volunteers to assist them with their valued work. Together as a Community we can work to make the roads a safer place.
