Neighbourhood Watch (NHW)
Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) is about you and your neighbours, coming together to have a say in the issues that matter to you in your community.
- We have been committed to supporting Neighbourhood Watch throughout our force since its introduction in 1982.
There are many benefits to being part of a Neighbourhood Watch scheme for you and your local community:
1) It shows that members of a community are looking out for each other.
2) It keeps you up to date with what’s going on in your area.
3) Working closely with the police helps to prevent and tackle crime.
4) You could save money on your home insurance.
To find out how you can get involved in Neighbourhood Watch please contact your local beat managers using the contact form on our beat page.

3 March 2021
Once our new PCSO’s have joined the team at Somerton and Wincanton we aim to make contact with all our NHW Co-ordinators on a regular basis so that they can put a face to a name.
This will ensure a regular exchange of information and will keep our NHW Co-ordinators updated with what is happening in their areas and vice versa.
