Coronavirus (COVID-19): the policing response and what you need to know

RISE IN POSSESSION AND SUPPLY OF DRUGS IN OUTLYING VILLAGES.

Barwick and Stoford, East and West Coker, Hardington(s) Higher and Lower Odcombe have seen a significant rise in incidents involving the supply and possession of controlled substances. We ask that anyone who has any intelligence around those involved or where they might be visiting. Please be aware of county lines can also infiltrate the vulnerable in our rural communities.

We are told that cars are meeting up in different locations and if you have any areas that you wonder the purpose of their socialising.  Please do not put yourself into any danger but try and remember as much detail as possible, where, when and what and report it on the 101 system. Dashcam footage is very helpful too!

We are going to the Odcombe village hall carpark on Friday 21st May bet 1 – 2pm and then East Coker playing field car park bet 2 – 3pm.  If you would like to come and meet your Neighbourhood Beat Team.

I am pleased to report that these incidents have significantly dropped off.

Please continue to report any suspicious vehicles or behaviour together can make our community a better place.
