Freedom of Information Request – Henlade A358 RedSpeed Sentio Shield Camera

 

Please provide the following information relating specifically to the RedSpeed Sentio Shield speed camera at Henlade on the A358, Taunton, identified by Avon and Somerset Police as camera/site reference 10100079.

 

I understand that the calibration certificate for this camera is dated 5 November 2025. I am seeking to establish the timeline between installation, calibration, commissioning and the commencement of enforcement. Please provide:

 

1. The date on which the RedSpeed Sentio Shield camera was physically installed at site 10100079, if earlier than 5th November 2025

 

2. The date on which the camera was first calibrated. If this was 5 November 2025, please confirm as the certificate held on file only provides a date range of 5th November 2025 to 4th November 2026

 

3. The date on which the camera was integrated,commissioned and accepted for police force operational use i.e. enforcement action.

 

4,The date and, if held, time of the first speeding offence recorded by the camera for enforcement/prosecution

 

5, If the camera was activated for enforcement on a date later than 5th November 2025, please provide the reason for the delay between calibration and enforcement activation.

 

For clarity, I am not requesting personal data relating to individual motorists, vehicle registration numbers, names or individual prosecutions. I am seeking only the operational history and commissioning information for camera/site 10100079.

 

If any part of this request is considered exempt, please provide the remainder of the information and identify the specific exemption relied upon for any information withheld.
