Please can you provide the following information for the 2024 calendar year:
- How many suspected banned or dangerous dogs were seized by police
- How many of the seized dogs were suspected XL Bullies
- How many banned or dangerous dogs were destroyed by police
- How many of the destroyed dogs were XL Bullies

In relation to questions 1 and 3, the information you have requested is published on our this page of our website and has recently been updated to include data for all of 2024.
This information therefore falls within the Section 21 exemption of the Freedom of Information Act, relating to information reasonably accessible via other means. Section 21 is an absolute and class based exemption and as such does not require a harm and public interest test. This serves as a partial refusal notice under section 17(1) of the FOI Act.
In relation to questions 2 and 4, we do record information as to the suspected breed of dogs seized and destroyed. We have provided this information below insofar as it is recorded for 2024, however as stated the information relates to suspected breeds only and we are not able to verify the accuracy of the data held.
