I am writing to request the number of stolen dogs in your jurisdiction.
I am requesting the number of thefts be broken down over the last five years, by calendar year (2018 -2023).
Response
Avon and Somerset Police have searched our crime recording database for all crimes, including burglary and theft, where the property classification field is recorded as ‘stolen’ and the property type field has been recorded as ‘Animal – Dog’. Please see the table below showing totals for each year requested.
