Information about the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Framework

VAWG is a strategic priority and we are committing to a local action plan which sets out our activity against national frameworks. Our approach is aligned to the three objectives in the NPCC and College of Policing’s ‘Police action to combat violence against women and girls’:

• improve trust and confidence in policing
• relentlessly pursuing perpetrators
• creating safer spaces
