Pedestrian seriously injured in Langport collision

We’re appealing for witnesses to a serious injury collision in Langport last night.

A silver Vauxhall Corsa was in collision with a pedestrian in North Street at about 7.50pm.

The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Southmead Hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

The car stopped at the scene and an initial account has been taken from the driver.
