Man arrested following fire in Bristol

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing arson with intent.

An investigation is under way following a fire at a premises in the Stokes Croft area of Bristol earlier today.

A member of the public called police at just after 2am to report suspicious activity at a premises in King Square.

Officers attended and located a fire within the building.

Avon Fire & Rescue Service were called to the scene and the fire was swiftly put out. No substantial damage was caused as a result.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing arson with intent and a cordon remains in place while enquiries continue.
