Arrest over collision between cyclist and woman – East Street, Bedminster

A man is in the cells in connection with a collision involving a cyclist and a woman pedestrian in Bedminster this morning, Tuesday 15 January.

British Transport Police colleagues arrested a 26-year-old man in Fraser Street at about 3.50pm. He is still in police custody at the time of writing.

The collision happened in East Street, Bedminster, just before 9am today as the woman was crossing the road. A woman in her 70s remains in hospital receiving treatment to injuries believed to be life-changing.
