Charge brought in Easton murder inquiry

We’ve charged a 51-year-old man with the murder of Bashir Abdullah in Bristol.

Bashir, 32, died after being stabbed at a property in Lansdowne Court, Easton, on Thursday.

As a result of an investigation carried out by the Major Crime Investigation Team, Jamal Sheik-Mohammed, of Lansdowne Court, has been charged with Bashir’s murder.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Monday (14 January).
