Did you see single vehicle collision on A4174 in South Gloucestershire?

We're appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle collision on the A4174

We’re appealing for the public’s help following a single vehicle road traffic collision.

It happened at about 8.40am on 9 March when a blue BMW 3 Series was reported to have lost control on the Longwell Green to Hicks Gate stretch of the A4174 ring road and was in collision with a lamp post and then a rocky embankment.

We believe a second vehicle – a silver coloured BMW was in the area at the time of the incident and we are keen to speak to the driver, who we believe may have useful information to help our enquiries.

We would also like to hear from anyone that was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help our enquiries.

In particular, we would like to hear from anyone who captured the incident on a mobile phone or a dash camera.

The male driver of the BMW has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and dangerous driving. He has been released under investigation.
