16 people make first court appearance following Extinction Rebellion protests in Bristol

Sixteen people charged in connection with the Extinction Rebellion protest in Bristol on Wednesday, which impacted on the M32, have appeared at Bristol Magistrates’ Court for their first hearing.

They all entered not guilty pleas to a charge of wilfully obstructing a public highway and trials will now be held on 4, 9 and 11 September at the same court.
