Appeal after fight leaves man in hospital – Castle Park, Bristol

We’re appealing for information after reports of a fight in Castle Park, Bristol, in which a man was stabbed.

Witnesses called 999 just before 4.30pm on Tuesday 5 November to report a group of young people fighting near St Peter’s Church. Officers attended immediately to take details and look for those involved.

Shortly before 5pm they were made aware of a man being treated for knife wounds in nearby Tower Hill. The 27-year-old remains in hospital today (Wednesday 6 November) receiving treatment for serious injuries not believed life-threatening.

You may see an increased police presence in the park over the next few days as we target our patrols to give a reassuring presence for the community.

Despite a search and forensic examination of the scene, we haven’t recovered the weapon used in the attack.
