Appeal for witnesses after woman sexually assaulted in Bridgwater

We’re appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in Bridgwater on Saturday night (November 2).

The woman, who is in her twenties, was walking along Castle Moat at around 10pm, opposite The Great Escape pub, when a man ran up to her and sexually assaulted her.

While we don’t have a description of the offender, the victim describes the street as being busy with people at the time at the conclusion of the town’s carnival, so we’re appealing for anyone who saw this incident to come forward.
