Coronavirus (COVID-19): the policing response and what you need to know

Christmas Cop Shop 2019

The Avon and Somerset Constabulary Christmas Cop Shop is open at The Galleries shopping centre in Bristol. Back for the ninth year running, the interactive attraction will be open daily until Sunday 23 December.

The Cop Shop is located on the ground floor of The Galleries shopping centre and provides visitors with an opportunity to meet with local police officers, try on police uniform, take pictures against a line-up backdrop and try your hand at being a detective with a crime scene.

This year we will be joined by our partners Wessex 4×4 response, Freewheelers ESV Blood Bikes and the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity. We will also be continuing our support of the Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal and will be delivering donated presents to Bristol Children’s Hospital the week before Christmas. We would like to encourage any shoppers who would like to spread some festive cheer to choose a gift from the wish list which is displayed in the Cop Shop and then bring the gift back to the shop so that it can be delivered to children who will be spending time in hospital this Christmas.

PCSO Brenden Laben, who is based at The Bridewell said: “We are delighted to be back in The Galleries for the ninth year running and continuing our support for the Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal. The Cop Shop is a great initiative which helps to ensure local people stay safe over the festive period.

“We hope to see as many people as possible in the run up to Christmas and hope that shoppers will take a moment to pop by and take part in some of the festive activities that we have planned for children. Members of the neighbourhood policing team will also be on hand to offer advice on crime prevention and home security.”

The Cop Shop is open daily until Sunday 23 December ,10.00 – 17.00 (Mon-Sat) 11.30 – 16.00 (Sun). Don’t miss out on your chance to drop in and find out more.
