Two arrested following burglary at elderly man’s home in Bristol

Two men have been arrested in connection with a burglary at the home of an elderly man in Bristol.

The victim, who is in his nineties, was at home in the Parkside Gardens areas at about 10.20am on Thursday (12 December), when he heard banging in his conservatory. He went to see what the noise was and was confronted by two men. One of the men grabbed him and demanded money.

The offenders ran off when the victim said he was calling the police. Nothing was stolen.

At around 12.50pm, Wiltshire Police officers stopped a van in Corsham and two men, aged 35 and 41, were arrested on suspicion of burglary.
