Appeal for information following armed robbery at fish and chip shop

We're appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a fish and chip shop near Bath.

The incident took place at approximately 10.20pm on Saturday (13/02) at the Seafoods restaurant on Bradford Road, Coombe Down.

Two men entered the shop and threatened the employees behind the till with a bat and an axe.

One of the men then struck one of the workers with the bat which caused a minor injury requiring hospital treatment.

A small amount of money was handed to the men before the they smashed the victims' mobile phones and the restaurant's landline phone.

The offenders then left the area in a dark car that was parked in the lane next to the restaurant.

The first suspect is described as wearing a dark sweatshirt, blue jeans with his face covered.

The second man is described as wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt and mid-grey jogging bottoms. He also had his face covered.
