Welcome to the Rural Crime Page. This page features information, links and signposting to crime prevention advice.
You can also find contact details for the Rural Crime Team and leaflets that you can download and print. We hope you find it useful.
The team was created to help protect and support the farming and rural communities across Avon and Somerset.
They provide specialist support and training to officers and neighbourhood teams across the force to help in dealing with local rural issues, crime and to improve our service delivery to our rural communities.
The team is headed up by Superintendent Mike Prior and Inspector Jo Ross and also currently includes Sgt Zane Manu, PC Katy Drabble, PCSO Yvonne Mears and John Hitchings, Crime Reduction Advisor.
Other members of the Constabulary are also involved, particularly within specialist areas including equine crime and Horse Watch.
If you want to contact the team you can email them at RuralCrimeTeam@avonandsomerset.pnn.police.uk or call them via the 101 number.
You can also follow the team on Twitter at @ASPoliceRuralCrime
We also have a HorseWatch Facebook Page.
The team can help with specific rural crime prevention advice, including security equipment, Farm, Horse and Neighbourhood Watch and other help and support for both domestic and commercial properties and businesses in our rural communities. Please either download the advice leaflets below, or contact the team by emailing them at RuralCrimeTeam@avonandsomerset.pnn.police.uk
