Book a fingerprint appointment

You can book and pay for a fingerprint appointment online.

Appointment times

We can only offer limited appointment times, Monday to Thursday 9:00am to 12:00pm (subject to availability). Unfortunately we cannot accommodate short notice requests.


  • First set of fingerprints costs £97.32
  • Subsequent sets cost £48.60
  • There will be no reduction in cost for a single digit 
  • Payment by debit or credit card will be required at the time of booking

Make sure you book all the sets of fingerprints you require.

Cancellation of appointment

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please inform us as soon as possible using the contact details provided when your appointment was confirmed.

We are happy to rearrange appointments if necessary, subject to availability.

If the appointment is no longer required or you are unable to attend, a refund can be requested but there will be a minimum administrative fee of £5.

After 14 days of the missed appointment, you will not be able to request a refund.

Documents required

You need to bring photo identification with you to use the service (photocopies will not be accepted). You can bring either:

  • current passport, or
  • photo card driving licence

Appointments with Fingerprinting Services take place at Police and Fire Headquarters in Portishead.


While attending your appointment, you will be required to wear a face mask throughout our buildings and during the fingerprinting process.
