Request a fingerprint appointment

Appointments are offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays, subject to availability.

It costs £94.90 for the first set of prints and £47.50 for each additional set.

Fingerprint fees for most countries are subject to VAT. In this case, the charge for the first set of prints is £113.88 and £57.00 for each additional set.

When requesting an appointment, you will be asked which country you are visiting and charged accordingly.

Payment by debit or credit card will be required at the time of your request.

Make sure you request all the sets of fingerprints you require.

You must complete a form for each person requesting an appointment.

You will need to bring a valid passport or photo card driving licence. These are the only forms of identification we can accept for this service.

When attending Police and Fire Headquarters, you must obey all security and safety notices.

During the fingerprint process, we expect you to treat staff with respect. We have a zero-tolerance approach to any abuse or threatening behaviour, including bad language or intimidation.

Taking photographs is not permitted on police premises.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, inform us as soon as possible using the contact details in your confirmation email.

You can rearrange your appointment for another date, or you can request a refund within 14 days of your cancelled appointment. There will be a minimum £5 administrative fee.
