Tackling Anti-Social behaviour in our community
The local neighbourhood Policing Team are committed to tackling Anti-Social behaviour in the community and are keen to hear from anyone who has information regarding this of locations/ Times.
We have secured funding which has helped with obtaining and installing more CCTV cameras which will help us with locating and identifying offenders and locations.
The local neighbourhood Policing Team are identifying hotspot areas and will be including this in their patrol plan.
To help tackle Anti-Social behaviour we plan to:
- Conduct regular high visibility patrols in the area.
- Positively engage with groups of youths should Anti-Social behaviour occur in the area.
- Utilising ASB powers (section 35 dispersal notices) to move the groups on, if their behaviour is likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress to other members of public.
- Work with partner agencies such as North Somerset Council, Housing Associations and youth provisions to educate and divert youths involved in Anti-Social behaviour as a long term solution.
