We are pro-actively patrolling, engaging and identifying with those that congregate in locations such as Blake Gardens, Binford Place and the Town Bridge and when needed asking them to disperse.

Actions

  • Sunday 18th October, 2020

    Continued efforts are being made to engage and identify the continually changing group of people that drink and cause anti-social behaviour on places such as town bridge, Binford Place, Blake Gardens and Salmon Parade. Especially within the times of COVID, these groups are also being issued warnings and fines for congregating.

  • Wednesday 15th January, 2020

    The town centre team continue to monitor remove alcohol from those openly drinking in the street causing anti-social behaviour.

  • Friday 25th October, 2019

    The town centre beat team continue removing alcohol from persons drinking causing Anti-social behaviour.

  • Wednesday 4th September, 2019

    The town centre beat team continue removing alcohol from persons drinking causing Anti-social behaviour.

  • Tuesday 3rd September, 2019

    The Neighbourhood Policing Team are doing regular patrols within the town centre to tackle incidents of street drinking. They are also working with partner agencies to look at how to address this.

  • Thursday 1st August, 2019

    The Beat Team continue removing alcohol from those who are openly drinking in the streets and causing Anti-social behaviour.

  • Monday 1st July, 2019

    The town centre beat team continue removing alcohol from persons drinking causing Anti-social behaviour.

  • Tuesday 11th June, 2019

    The Beat Team continue to confiscate/seize alcohol in the town centre.

  • Friday 3rd May, 2019

    Working closely with Sedgemoor DC and CCTV we will be removing alcohol from those opening drinking in the streets and causing ASB.
