Coronavirus (COVID-19): the policing response and what you need to know

County lines

Stopping and disrupting county line drug dealing/running.

  • Friday 27th August, 2021

The neighbourhood policing team are taking proactive steps in dealing with county-line activity. NPT officers have recently been working with our intel colleagues and specialist officers from ‘operation remedy’ to tackle drug crime head on; conducting warrants, stop-searches and making arrests. We have also been conducting school visits; teaching young people to recognise the signs of grooming and modern day slavery. We work closely with third party organisations, such as ‘Hidden Voices’ to raise awareness, and work towards eliminating this behaviour in our communities.

The banner van has been deployed to the beat area to offer help and support around county line issues. We have also been working with charities such as hidden voices in the local area

We constantly perform hi-visibility foot/bike patrols in crime/drug hotspots. We deliver county-line awareness packages in our school and provide support to those who have been impacted by county lines.
