Being a predominantly retail environment, we suffer from a high level of shop theft.

we have had a recent uplift in officer covering broadmead, this will allow us to do more proactive days in broadmead to disrupt shop theft.
We have also been granted more criminal behaviour banning orders for shoplifters, taking the total active for broadmead alone to nearly 30.

we are continuing to target our most prolific offender with banning orders.
we have started to run successful plain clothes operation which has seen a number of arrests

- We are increasing our efforts to target the most prolific offenders causing harm to area.
- We are working hard with retailers to increase reporting of thefts to get a better understanding of the levels of shop thefts committed.
