M32 Skate Park
Since the onset of warmer weather, we have seen an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour within the skate park area beneath the M32. These reports include street drinking, drug use and dealing, fly-tipping, and the accumulation of general waste.
The impact of this behaviour has resulted in local residents and visitors feeling unsafe and reluctant to use the space or walk through the area.
Today, officers attended the location alongside Bristol Waste to carry out a significant clean-up operation. A substantial amount of rubbish and fly-tipped material was removed, including large items such as sofas and mattresses that had accumulated on site. While further clearance work is still required, Bristol City Council has assured us that arrangements are in place to address the remaining waste.
In response to the ongoing anti-social behaviour, we have been working closely with neighbouring Neighbourhood Policing Teams to increase high-visibility patrols in the area. These patrols aim to deter criminal and anti-social behaviour, provide reassurance to the community, and encourage the safe use of this public space.
