M32 Skate Park
Since the onset of warmer weather, we have seen an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour within the skate park area beneath the M32. These reports include street drinking, drug use and dealing, fly-tipping, and the accumulation of general waste.
The impact of this behaviour has resulted in local residents and visitors feeling unsafe and reluctant to use the space or walk through the area.
Today, officers attended the location alongside Bristol Waste to carry out a significant clean-up operation. A substantial amount of rubbish and fly-tipped material was removed, including large items such as sofas and mattresses that had accumulated on site. While further clearance work is still required, Bristol City Council has assured us that arrangements are in place to address the remaining waste.
In response to the ongoing anti-social behaviour, we have been working closely with neighbouring Neighbourhood Policing Teams to increase high-visibility patrols in the area. These patrols aim to deter criminal and anti-social behaviour, provide reassurance to the community, and encourage the safe use of this public space.

Skate Park Update
Following our previous update regarding concerns around groups gathering in the skate park and beneath the M32, including reports of drug use and dealing, we are pleased to report that the situation has improved significantly.
In response to concerns raised by local residents, we increased patrols in the area and dedicated additional neighbourhood policing resources to the location. As a result, the number of people congregating there has reduced dramatically, and we have seen a noticeable improvement in the overall environment.
We have also been working closely with our partners at the council, who have attended the site on a number of occasions to remove fly-tipping and clear rubbish that had accumulated in and around the area. Their support has been invaluable in helping to make the space cleaner, safer and more welcoming for those who use it appropriately.
While these improvements are encouraging, we recognise there is still work to do. We will continue to carry out regular patrols, monitor the area closely, and work with partner agencies to address any emerging issues.
Our aim is to ensure that the skate park remains a safe and enjoyable space for local residents, young people and visitors who wish to use it for its intended purpose.
