Police attended Bristol Magistrates’ Court alongside colleagues from the local Anti-Social Behaviour Team, legal representatives and Bristol City Council to apply for a Closure Order in respect of the address. Having considered evidence from local residents, police officers and partner agencies, the Magistrates granted the Closure Order.

The property has since been vacated and secured, including being boarded up to prevent unauthorised access. Any person entering the property or its associated gardens without lawful authority commits a criminal offence. The Closure Order will remain in force for a period of three months, during which time partners will continue to assess the situation. Should it be deemed necessary, an application can be made to extend the order whilst Bristol City Council develops and implements a longer-term solution for the premises.

A Community Protection Warning (CPW) has been issued to the occupants of the address in response to ongoing anti-social behaviour. Unfortunately, there have been multiple reported breaches of the warning since its issue. As a result, a further multi-agency partnership meeting has been scheduled to review the current circumstances, consider the continued impact on the local community, and progress formal action to seek closure of the premises through the use of police powers. This coordinated approach aims to address the persistent issues associated with the address and protect the wider community from further harm.
