We are currently receiving a growing number of reports of shop and retail theft in the area; this is having an impact on local businesses and owners.

Police are working with businesses to bring offenders to justice targeting the most prolific offenders. Any help and support from the local community will ensure a prompt response, please:

  • report all incidents to police and your head office / loss prevention teams
    • you can report to police via 101 or online via Report shoplifting
    • you should always call 999 if you or someone else is in immediate danger, if the crime is in progress or if the suspect is detained
  • have CCTV available of the offence and offenders
  • keep a record of the items taken
  • consider stock and shop layout
