👮♂️ Neighbourhood officers are actively:
- Conducting targeted patrols in known problem areas
- Responding to intelligence and community reports
- Taking enforcement action against offenders
✅ Recent successes include:
- Several offenders dealt with for drug-related offences including being reported to court and receiving custodial sentences.
👀 How to Spot Drug Activity
You can help by being aware of the signs. Common indicators include:
- Frequent visitors to a property at all hours, often staying only briefly
- Strong smells (e.g. cannabis) coming from a property or vehicle
- Blacked-out windows, or curtains always closed
- Excessive security measures (e.g. cameras, reinforced doors)
- Discarded drug paraphernalia such as small bags, foil, syringes
- Anti-social behaviour linked to a specific location
- Sudden changes in a neighbour’s behaviour or lifestyle

Officers from the Horfield Neighbourhood team, along with other colleagues have been targeting known persons, addresses and vehicles that are involved in the use, dealing and supply of Drugs.
A number of vehicles have been stopped where a proportion of drivers have failed a roadside drugs test.
These offenders have been reported for the offence and are awaiting court dates.
A number of people have also been stop searched in relation to the supply of drugs, where offenders have been reported for the offence and drugs have been taken off of the streets.
