Broadwalk Shopping Centre – Anti-Social Behaviour

We are appealing to members of the local community to assist us with an ongoing issue of anti-social behaviour in and around the Broadwalk Shopping Centre. The Officer in Charge of this priority is:  PCSO Kyle Jones.

We would be grateful if anyone who has captured relevant footage—whether through mobile devices, doorbell cameras, or other recording equipment—could share this with the us. Such material may prove vital in helping us identify those responsible and ensure that appropriate action is taken.

  We continue to work closely with Broadwalk Shopping Centre management to address reports of anti-social behaviour and related criminality affecting the site.

  Over the past month, police have responded to a number of incidents at the shopping centre, including reports of anti-social behaviour, nuisance behaviour and criminal damage. Officers are working with the management team to review available evidence and identify those responsible.

  A key element of this work is the ongoing partnership with the shopping centre to secure and review CCTV footage. This is enabling officers to identify offenders, develop intelligence around repeat individuals and take appropriate enforcement action where offences have been committed.

  High-visibility patrols will continue in and around the shopping centre, particularly during peak periods when incidents are most prevalent. We are also encouraging businesses, staff and members of the public to continue reporting incidents so that patterns can be identified and appropriate action taken.
