We continue to engage with vulnerable members of our community, offering practical crime prevention and personal safety advice. Our fraud awareness talks remain available to help educate the public on common scams and how to stay protected, and we are maintaining our focus on reducing violence against women and girls through the ongoing promotion of StreetSafe.

As part of this work, we recently held a Walk and Talk session at West Somerset College with female students and school staff, giving them the opportunity to share their experiences, highlight any areas of concern, and discuss ways we can work together to make public spaces safer for women and girls. Their feedback will help inform future patrols and safety initiatives.

Groups interested in arranging a fraud talk can get in touch using our contact form or speak to us directly when attending

We actively welcome feedback from the public and encourage you to engage with us. Your input is vital in helping us understand the issues that matter most to you and your community. Whether it’s concerns about local crime, safety, or general policing matters, we want to hear from you.

Let us know what challenges you’re facing in your area, how we can better support your neighbourhood, and what kind of policing presence or initiatives you would like to see regularly. This could include ‘Talk to Us’ surgeries – informal drop-in sessions where you can speak directly with officers about local issues, receive crime prevention advice, and learn more about who we are and what we do.

We can also host Policing Masterclasses—interactive events designed to raise awareness and educate communities on a range of important topics, such as drug misuse, anti-social behaviour (ASB), fraud, child sexual exploitation, modern slavery, and more. These sessions also provide signposting to relevant support services and partner agencies.

In addition to community engagement, we encourage you to report any suspicious behaviour or share any information that could assist our investigations. Intelligence from the public is absolutely crucial – sometimes even the smallest detail can be the key piece of the puzzle we need to take action and protect others.
