Rogue Traders

We’ve received reports of rogue traders operating in the Minehead area, targeting residents with unsolicited offers for home repairs, driveway work, or gardening services. These individuals often use pressure tactics, overcharge, or carry out substandard work.

Ways to protect yourself and others from rogue traders:

• Never agree to work from someone who turns up uninvited
• Report suspicious activity to 101 or Trading Standards
• Look out for vulnerable neighbours who may be targeted
• Use trusted, verified traders – check references and reviews

  Following recent reports of rogue traders operating in the area, the Neighbourhood Policing Team is taking proactive steps to address community concerns, prevent further concern and suspicious activity.

  We have increased patrols in affected areas, this highly visible police presents works well as a preventative tactic used for keeping our community safe.
