Rouge Traders
We have received an increased number of reports regarding rogue traders operating within our area. If you see anything suspicious or out of the ordinary, please do not hesitate to report it to us.
Thanks to information and intelligence provided by the community, we have been able to identify rogue traders while on patrol and ask them to leave the area. Your support is invaluable in helping us protect local residents.
Please remember that reputable and legitimate companies do not usually turn up at your door uninvited offering services. Rogue traders may pressure you into agreeing to work, ask for cash payments, or use persistent sales tactics to make you say yes.

We continue to receive reports of rogue traders operating within our communities. These individuals can be very persistent and often target people they perceive to be vulnerable, particularly those living on the outskirts of towns and villages. Rogue traders are often highly convincing and may offer services such as property maintenance, gardening, or roofing work. However, the work carried out is frequently of a poor standard and significantly overpriced. In many cases, they identify additional “problems” once a job has started, leading to further unnecessary work and increased costs. They may also rely on verbal agreements, leaving victims unaware of the full extent of the charges until the work has been completed.
If a trader or company calls at your door unexpectedly and you have any concerns or suspicions, please report it to us. Any information or intelligence we receive helps us build a clearer picture of activity in the area, alert our officers and partner agencies, and take action to protect the community. By reporting suspicious door-to-door traders, you can help prevent others from becoming victims.
