Road Safety around schools

The team have received an increase in reports of vehicles being parked dangerously along Down Road particularly around school drop off and pick up times. This endangers other road users including young children.

We will increase our patrols in the area where our shift pattern and demand allow. We will be looking to engage with drivers offering them education and enforcement where necessary.

Patrols have been conducted by the team focusing on schools and areas that the community have raised as persistent problem areas. Positive engagement and education has been given to several people in relation to where they have parked their vehicles and how it can effect other road users.
