Update on Road Safety and Anti-Social Driving in Cheddar
We are writing to provide you with an update on the ongoing work to tackle vehicular anti-social behaviour (ASB) and improve road safety in Cheddar.
A lot has happened since our last update. For that reason, we have decided not to publish the second edition of the Cheddar Neighbourhood Police Team (NPT) newsletter currently. In favour of this community update adopting a more formal structure.
Future editions of the newsletter will be published over the coming months and will continue to provide valuable updates to the community.
Clink on the link below for a detailed update on the work we have been doing, including updates from the stakeholder partnership working group.

We are aware of the current increase in the ASB Driving in Cheddar Gorge and are working with our partners to find the best solution. We regularly conduct proactive roads policing operations with the Road Safety Team and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.
We have recently used our dispersal powers and also issued antisocial driving warning notices, as well as sending hundreds of drivers their notice of intended prosecution for excess speed.
