Anti Social Driving
Street Beat Team have recently had several calls from local residents from the nearby Houndwood Estate area, Street, telling us that they are being kept up late at night by modified car user groups, who are reported to be driving in an anti social manner, in and around the Gravenchon Way Business park, in particular, Home Bargains and Sainsbury’s carparks.
The Police will be keeping an eye on this area over the few weeks and will be taking positive action against any ASB driving and utilising the Section 59 Power from the Police Reform Act 2002.
We will also be working alongside our colleagues from the Roads Policing and Speed Enforcement Unit to help tackle this issue and make the area a safer place to visit.

The beat team has been actively engaging with local businesses and the owners of the car park where modified vehicle gatherings have become a concern. Discussions are underway to explore the possibility of closing the car park during evening hours after the businesses have closed to prevent further disruption and anti-social behaviour.
In addition, officers have been in the community during peak times of concern, conducting proactive speed checks and monitoring vehicle activity. This visible presence not only deters unsafe driving but also reassures residents and businesses that the issue is being taken seriously and addressed with urgency.
