Cold Calling

Police have received a few calls over the last month of people “cold calling” in our area trying to sell cleaning products.

These people are also known as “Nottingham Knockers”.

The Police advise residents to not buy items from these people, as often the products they are selling are no of a good quality.

These callers should have a pedlars licence with them but often they do not, so if they do not produce one, we advise residents to ask them to leave, not to buy anything and to call police if they fail to do so.

Never give out any personal information, such as bank details.

You can report these people by calling 101 at the time or if you believe a crime is in progress, we would ask you to call 999.
