Rural Crime

We have had some recent thefts from some of our farming community in the surrounding rural villages surrounding the Street and Glastonbury area’s.

The local policing teams are out in these locations when possible, actively engaging with local farms, signing any up to our Farmwatch Scheme if they are interested and working alongside our colleagues from the Rural Crime Team, building intelligence and actively targeting individuals who we believe are involved in this type of crime.

We would ask all local farmers to continue to be vigilant, to continue to report any suspicious activity to Police at the time it happens, given as much information to what you have seen as possible.

We continue to work with partners and other agencies to identify offenders and bring them to justice.
