Speeding, A39 Street Bypass

The Street and Glastonbury Neighbourhood Policing Team have received some complaints about vehicles travelling at excess speed along the A39 Street Bypass.

We will be paying passing attention to this area when we can, especially during the evenings and will be working alongside our “Roads Policing, Speed Enforcement Unit’s” to help tackle this issue.

We would like to remind all motorists to adhere to the speed limits and help make our roads a safer place for everyone.

Any “Anti Social Driving ” will also be taken seriously and we will take robust action when necessary, including the use of the “Section 59” from the Police Reform Act 2002, which gives Police Officers and PCSO’s the power to seize any vehicle being used in an anti social manner.
