Bike Thefts
You may have recently seen on local social media pages that there has recently been an increase in bicycle and motorbike thefts across the west Taunton and greater Taunton areas.
Thieves can be opportunists and they look first for bikes that are quick and easy to steal, so please ensure that your bikes are locked and secure, chained down if possible and alarms are working. If you do not have a garage or shed, consider parking in a well-lit area close to home.
You can find advice on how to prevent bike theft and many other subjects on our website: Crime prevention advice | Avon and Somerset Police.
