Shop thefts

Over the summer period we have unfortunately seen a spike in shop thefts across Taunton.

Our neighbourhood teams are investigating these thefts alongside other investigations units from across Taunton.

Local officers will be conducting both high visibility and plain clothes patrols to reassure the public and to prevent further thefts and also to engage with local businesses, providing advice on security and crime up to date prevention techniques.

Businesses also now have the ability to scan a QR code to report incidents directly to the Police, as well as upload CCTV directly via our Send evidence to a Police Officer or Police Staff , link on our website enabling an overall quicker process to progress investigations.
