Rogue traders

Do not be duped by these individuals who often prey on vulnerable or elderly people. If you feel pressured into having work done on your property, and you are not offered 14 day cooling off period, call South Glos Trading Standards.

The local beat team are working very closely with South Glos Trading Standards to prevent and detect this type of crime. There are laws around these types of activities. Thornbury and surrounding areas have also recently been targeted by these offenders and large amounts of cash have been paid for little, or no work on their properties.

  Please keep an eye open for your elderly, vulnerable neighbours, who are often the victims of these types of crimes.
