Coppers Vs Kids football tournament
On Wednesday 22nd of September at 4:30pm, Avon and Somerset Constabulary will host a football tournament where they will face teams from our local secondary schools looking to take home the title! Officers from the Mendips in partnership with the VRU (Violent Crime Reduction Unit) will be lacing up for their toughest challenge to date.
Will the kids defeat Somerset’s finest? Can they… Beat the heat!
Events such as these are important in building positive engagement between officers and local youths. This time also allows schools, parents, students and supporters to speak with members of their local Neighbourhood Policing Team about any issues or concerns that may be troubling them.
